    LISA HUGHES
    Mourne Scan Clinic is a private ultrasound scan clinic.  

    Lisa graduated from University of Ulster, Jordanstown, in 1998 with Bsc Hons degree in Diagnostic Radiography and in 2000 she completed a PgD In Medical Science also in the University of Ulster.  
    Lisa continued her professional development and in 2005, she graduated from Anglia University, Cambridge with a PgC in Medical Ultrasound. Since then Lisa has worked as a Sonographer and gained extensive experience in both the NHS and in private practice.  
    In 2016 Lisa founded the Mourne Scan Clinic in order to provide a private ultrasound service to the local community.  She currently works from 3 clinics, Warrenpoint, Dundalk and Loughbrickland. 
  • Specialist Occupational Therapist in Neurology
    CLAIRE DOLAN
    Claire qualified with BSc Hons Occupational Therapy from Robert Gordon University in 2001. 
    Her post qualified experience was gained while working in Scotland, England and the Republic of Ireland as an Occupational therapist. 

    Claire has over 15 years specific experience in the neurological setting. 

    This included:
    1. Neurological Institute Glasgow
    2. Establishing an Occupational Neurology Out Patient Service in St James Hospital, Dublin in 2012. 

    This is a unique OT specialist service for Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's in Ireland.

    Claire has gained post qualification experience in MS specialist and Parkinson's, FACETS Fatigue management, LSVT, BIG and PD Warrior.

    Claire has presented and participated in both MS and Parkinson's international conferences. Her key areas of interest are Parkinson's, MS, Fatigue management, Neuro-rehabilitation, Cognitive assessment, Driving assessment and Vocational Rehabilitation.

    In particular, the effective self-management and neuro-rehabilitation of long term neurological conditions is an area that Claire is passionate about and continues to raise the OT profile.  
  • Senior Occupational Therapist in Oncology and Endocrinology
    PAULA CAREY
    Paula qualified in 2007 With BSc Hons Occupational Therapy from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. She is CORU registered and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland.

    Paula currently works as Senior Occupational Therapist in the Emergency Department of St James Hospital Dublin, incorporating a 0.5 role into burns and Plastics

    Paula has worked in a busy acute Hospital setting since qualifying and has, in this time, had rotational experience into a variety of clinical settings, including Medicine for the Elderly, General Medicine Acute admissions.  

    Paula has gained the majority of her senior experience specialising in the area of Oncology and Haematology and the related physical and psycho-social difficulties. 
    She has a special interest in upper limb conditions such as nerve trauma/lymphoedema/loss of movement resulting from chemotherapy and surgery.

    Paula also works independently completing Home Assessments relating to Housing Adaptation Grants and general functional assessment of activities of daily living.  
  • Senior Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapy
    LIZA FITGERALD
    Liza Fitzgerald is a Senior Occupational Therapist who specialises in Hand Therapy. Liza graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2006. She has extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist and has been in a senior position in Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Burns at St James’s Hospital in 2010. This included a particular role as one of the Senior Hand Therapists to the National Burns Unit.

    Liza has a keen interest in Hand Therapy and she has completed a number of dedicated, accredited training courses. She has undertaken a number of research proposals, most recently partaking in a clinical audit of flexor and extensor tendon repairs, and metacarpal and distal radius fractures. Liza promotes the need for clinical audits to modify practice and improve clinical outcomes. She is a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI) and she is an active member of the Irish Association of Hand Therapists (IAHT).
  • Senior Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapy
    CARINA WIID-KENNY
    Carina qualified in 2004 with BSc Hons in Occupational Therapy from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, and her qualification has been validated by the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland. 

    Carina has worked in a number of different practice settings, including acute and community care and public and private outpatient trauma departments. Carina has worked in independent Hand Therapy practice since 2015 and runs the Hand Therapy service at Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital on a part-time basis. She is a member of IAHT, AOTI, and the Irish Hand Surgery Society.


    Specific practice areas of special interest include: 
    Hand trauma, Rheumatology, General medicine and Orthopaedics where Carina has gained extensive experience in Hand therapy assessment, fabricating hand splints, joint protection education, post surgical wound care, assistive device prescription and activities of daily living assessment .

  • Nutrition and lifestyle Coaching NLC
    ANNE-MARIE MCQUAID
    Anne-Marie is founder and therapist at Airmid Therapies near Newry, Co Down.

    Anne-Marie has a Diploma in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching (NLC) which allows her to provide support on nutrition and lifestyle including specific meal plans and supplementation. This includes advice about practical ways to improve overall physical and mental health using specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based (SMART) action steps. Anne-Marie is also  a member of the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (FNTP) and Complimentary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC).

    Anne-Marie is qualified to perform food intolerance testing and can give expert advice on nutrition aimed at maintaining healthy joints, muscles and bones as well as achieving a better sense of well-being. This is especially important for chronic diseases such as osteoarthritis, inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia, gout, IBS, MS and other neurological conditions that need extra nutritional considerations to stay healthy.
